Your easy-to-follow onboarding
into STRENGTH training
Strength training is daunting. Walking into the weights section of the gym can be overwhelming. Online fitness programs can be intimidating. Especially, when you don’t know where or how to start.
Whether you are brand new to strength training or it’s been a minute since you’ve picked up a pair of dumbbells, having an easy-to-follow, ready-to-go strength training program can help you go from overwhelmed & intimidated to cool & confident. But, there is still the factor of “I don’t really know what I’m doing” that be daunting with an online program.
Enter START-UP.
If you’ve been looking for the perfect way to jumpstart your fitness routine, you might be waiting forever. But, if you’re looking for a community that will help you imperfectly navigate the non-diet side of fitness, learning strength training basics with a strong emphasis on play & fun, Start-up might be the program you didn’t know you needed.
START-UP will help you:
Gain confidence in the home gym or the gym gym, in particular while using free weights i.e. dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, etc.
Understand basic principles of strength training including the basic movement patterns of squat, hinge, push, pull & carry.
Learn how to follow an online virtual fitness program, including app overviews to help set you up for success from the jump.
Navigate additional fitness jargon such as tempo, sets & reps, rounds, & progressive overload.
Understand how strength training will enhance & support your life rather than feel all-consuming like, one more thing you have to get done in the day.
Cut through the bullshit rules & standards for success as demonstrated by diet culture, learn to write your own rules & tell your own success story.
Use curiosity & compassion to make your workout program work for you.

-
The five week base program is $59 with an option to add three additional weeks of programming for $30. You don’t have to decide to have the three weeks at the jump, you can do so at any time, even on the last day of the program.
-
Access to dumbbells is encouraged but not required. Bands, household objects or bodyweight can also be used successfully with this program.
-
That is not the goal of this program. Any weight loss is a byproduct of the hard work you put in, but it’s not why it was created. I want you to learn strength training to help you be the strongest 90-year old on the block. I’m here to support lifetime strength, not a short-term weight loss fix.
-
Yes!! Both. This program is designed primarily for home use but it can absolutely be used at the gym & vice versa.
-
I hope that come the end of the program you feel confident picking up a pair of dumbbells and knowing WTF to do with them so you can continue to work out at home or in the gym without overwhelm. If you are interested in continuing your strength training journey with me, you will have the option to transition to my monthly strength membership, The Power Co. You can also sign up for 1:1 personal training sessions at a special discounted rate for completing this program.
-
The Power Co. is a recurring monthly strength membership for individuals with some experience with weights/strength training. It originated in May of 2020 & has continued to build on the concept of progressive overload since it’s launch. Think of START-UP as the intro program, a stepping stone, into The Power Co. Once you understand the basics through START-UP, you will be better equipped to transition into The Power Co.
